FINDING THE NEXT
SENIOR PASTOR
The Pastoral Selection Ministry Action Team (MAT) of First Baptist Church, Carthage was approved by the church on September 24, 2023. Since that time, the MAT has been meeting and working through the process and procedures recommended by the SBTC. With the help of the Holy Spirit, the desire of the MAT is to find the next Senior Pastor for FBC that will meet the current and future needs and desires of our church. We believe that God has already chosen that man, and we are simply discerning His will to find him.

We began receiving resumes on February 19, 2024 and will continue to receive them thru April 5, 2024.
We've asked the church to join us in praying specifically for the candidates that will submit resumes, and the Pastoral Selection MAT as we discern and evaluate resumes.

Our MAT has worked hard to create the pastor, church, and community profiles. These profiles are designed to be a tool to evaluate pastoral candidates. It's important to us that we share with our church family the type of man we are looking for in our next Senior Pastor, who we are as a church, and the demographics of the community we serve.
